WILL HORRIBLE THINGS JUST STOP HAPPENING TO ME THIS WEEK?!!?!

i walked into david's open hatchback trunk door and busted my eye open. went to get stitches and waited two hours for it, but opted for the less expensive option at the last minute and paid $100 for a band-aid. better than $1000 for the three stitches.

they say things come in threes. if you count the scrape that happened to my arm, the home invasion, and this here gash under my eye, i shouldn't be expecting anything negative for a hell of a long time.

we move out in a few days, but i'm too scared to sleep at my home. [26 Jul 2005|11:48pm]
i'm really tired of repeating this story already to everyone who asks, so i'll just tell you all what happened:

a couple of afternoons ago, cappy and i experienced a home invasion. two hispanic men held us up at gunpoint in our own living room, looking for 'the weed' that we supposedly had hidden in our house. they had the wrong house, but one of them ransacked the entire apartment (knocked down david's door, even) while the other held a gun to cappy and i lying on the living room floor. they kept screaming 'WHERE'S THE WEED? WE JUST SAW YOUR LITTLE PUERTO RICAN FRIEND LEAVE HERE' or something. we kept telling them that we don't do drugs. they left after about ten minutes, thankfully empty-handed. but, they told us not to call the cops because they 'know where [we] live'.

it was the scariest moment of my life, but we're both okay. we pressed charges, but the cops still haven't found them. forensics came in and got a shoe print from where they kicked down david's door. in a grassy area near the apartment, a canine sniffed out a torn off t-shirt arm that the larger suspect had around his neck. a couple of people have said they saw the story on the news, but we were never interviewed about it.

GREEN WITH ALGAE [23 Jul 2005|01:16am]
i posted a few photos from the trip.

oh, and i have a huge scrape on the underside of my left forearm. chad says it's my first 'injury' ever, and i think he's right. like the clumsy dumbass that i am, i slipped on the steps into the wekiwa spring today while all the families where walking up and down the small staircase. everyone yelled 'HOLY SHIT!' as i slid into the water, not paying attention to my flailing arms that were apparently having a violent rendezvous with the (somehow green and slippery) concrete stairs. it hurted. but i couldn't cry 'cause everyone was staring at me, and i'm a big boy.

spicyparis.com [18 Jun 2005|08:13pm]
there's like these fried jalapeños on it...and it's really like...juicy...and tasty...

i'm in a bikini washing a bentley, so i'm really cold 'cause the water is spraying...but it's pretty hot.

this burger is really hot because there's jalapeños, onion rings, and lots of barbecue sauce...and that's hot.

p.s. i don't get the whole "that's hot" thing. we was saying it back in 1999. bitch better step.

from stewf:

SNL-alum Julia Sweeney and I share something very profound. No, it’s not androgyny. It’s our transformation from religious people to people free of religion. Her story — as heard this week on This American Life — is very much like my own and I admire the way she tells it.

a lengthy listen, but i enjoyed it and related.

i think matt devlieger has the only other cool one. someone stole the stencil when i wasn't looking. if you know who stole it or where we can find it, please alert the proper authorities (me or neck or cap). oh, and if you stole it -- you're a unitard.
